At Watson Elementary School, learners don’t just know content!
Our vision is that they become Empowered Learners, Effective Communicators, Inclusive Collaborators, Critical Thinkers and Innovative Designers to reach their highest potential.
Watson Elementary School’s mission is to develop curious, resilient, well-rounded, confident, responsible individuals by providing a sense of belonging and equitable access to:

2025-2026 School Year Updated Arrival & Dismissal
Grade levels will enter in the following areas at 8:50 am & exit at 3:22 each day:
- Grade K scholars will enter and exit school through the front door closest to Edgemond St.
- Grade 1 scholars will enter and exit school through the front door with the ramp.
- Grades 3 & 4 scholars will all enter and exit school through the right side door facing Edgemond St.
- Grades 2 & 5 scholars will all enter and exit school through the left side door behind the ramp.
Grades 2-5 families can wait for their scholars in the back parking lot at dismissal time. Siblings will be dismissed from the back of the building by the gym door in the parking lot.

A time-honored tradition in the nursing field and a milestone worth celebrating.
Family, friends, staff, and supporters filled the room as 38 B.M.C. Durfee High School seniors were recognized during the school’s 4th annual CNA Pinning Ceremony after successfully passing the state exam to become Certified Nursing Assistants.

This year, more than 500 pieces of student artwork were displayed for a month at the Narrows Art Gallery on Anawan Street.
This annual event not only attracts hundreds of families, but also allows the community to see firsthand how fine and performing arts are thriving in our school communities.

Sometimes the biggest waves we ride are confidence, connection, and inclusion.
Gnome Surf brought its Surf and Wellness Program to the Durfee High School pool, and the impact was impossible to miss.

We are so excited to share that one of our Grade 6 teams from Morton Middle School was selected as the Winning Project for Investigating History at the 2026 One8 Applied Learning Showcase!
Students Cora Farias, Keliany Vieira, Michael Louime, and Sophia Santos presented their Unit 3 Summative project, “Ancient African Societies,” as part of their Investigating History curriculum under the guidance of Social Studies Instructional Coach Ms. Soklim Chhean.

The Grow Education Gardens are one step closer to reality. The planter boxes have been built and are now being installed by students in B.M.C. Durfee High School’s Construction Craft Laborers program.

A great day of competition, teamwork, and school spirit at B.M.C. Durfee High School as the school’s Athletics Department hosted the Unified Track & Field South Sectionals in collaboration with the MIAA and the Special Olympics.
Sixteen schools from Seekonk to Cape Cod came together for the event, which featured nearly 300 student-athletes!
